To begin, I am getting ready for my first marathon that is set to take place in December 2005. I just found out about the marathon, which leaves me with only a month to train for it. I have to play catch up and so everyday I am trying to make count. I did a little research and found out most people train up for a marathon six months ahead of time. So I am at a disadvantage already.
To start my training. I am going to run around five miles a day with one long run on the weekends. The long run will be around 15 to 20 miles. I will try to keep my running time to under 3 hours at most for those runs.
Last week I ran 3 then 6 then 10 miles. Next week I am going to keep it consistent with 5 miles during the week and again 15 to 20 miles on the weekends.
